Common Data Elements
* indicates required field
A Common Data Element (CDE) is a standardized, precisely defined question, paired with a set of allowable responses, used systematically across different sites, studies, or clinical trials to ensure consistent data collection.
The AgingResearchBiobank recommends a set of CDEs for biospecimens currently in use in the Biological Specimen Inventory (BSI) LIMS at our biorepository.
NIH has endorsed collections of CDEs for clinical data and phenotypes that meet established criteria. NIH-endorsed CDEs can be found here.
