A new study, Trans-omics integration of multi-omics studies for male osteoporosis (MOMO), has been posted to the AgingResearchBiobank website. Data from this study are now available for request. The MOMO study uses an observational, multi-omics research design to characterize molecular features associated with bone mineral density (BMD) and osteoporosis risk, with a particular focus on male osteoporosis.

ASPREE Materials Available for Request

Associated Study: ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly

A new study, ASPirin in Reducing Events in the Elderly (ASPREE), has been posted to the AgingResearchBiobank website. Data and biospecimens from this study are now available for request. ASPREE was a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial designed to investigate and resolve uncertainty regarding the effects of aspirin used for primary prevention amongst older persons. Of relevance, the main trial findings demonstrated a higher risk benefit among older adults taking daily low dose aspirin for primary prevention. This led to revised prescribing guidelines by the USPSTF including a recommendation against initiating low-dose aspirin for primary prevention of cardiovascular disease in adults 60 years or older.

Additional Sleep Data from the Study of Osteoporotic Fractures (SOF), including Epoch by Epoch (EBE) data are now available for request. To request these, investigators should visit SOF study page and submit a Request for Materials. Requestors should note a desire for EBE data in their request, as these data are not included in the default data package due to their size.
